Welcome

The Poverty and Homelessness Action Team of the Central Okanagan (PHAT-CO) is a coalition of community representatives working collectively to address the issues of poverty and homelessness in the Central Okanagan. This committee was formed in May 2006 as a result of the amalgamation of the Kelowna Homelessness Steering Committee (2000) and the Kelowna Poverty Task Force (1999). PHAT-CO exists to advocate, raise awareness and address issues concerning poverty and homelessness. PHAT-CO does so through information sharing, bringing interested and dedicated people together, and being a catalyst for social, political and economic change.
